Candice Horbacz says there are ways to still consume this red meat and stay healthy. Watch out the following tips that you can follow to still enjoy your favorite beef dish!

  1. Take lighter cuts of beef and be mindful of the calories intake.

Sirloin ( tip side steak and top steak), an eye of round roast and steak, top round roast and steak, bottom round roast and steak, filet mignon, and flank steak.

These type of beef cuts didn’t carry many calories in every consumption and you also have to monitor your eating habits. Anything that is too much is bad for the health.

  1. Mix your beef meat with other protein

Candice Horbacz lets you know that the more your meat has been overly baked, grilled, deep-fried it could turn carcinogenic. The more burnt the food is, the more it can harm your health. To reduce your risk of developing carcinogens in your body, marinate your meat before cooking and avoid over-cooking it. Plus, don’t eat burnt pieces.

  1. Choose grass-fed beef, not grain fed.

In any circumstances, a grass-fed beef will win over a grain-fed one. Why? They are healthier because it contains more omega-3s and certain vitamins which is definitely a great thing because omega-3s reduce your risk for cancer!

A grass-fed beef is leaner than the other one. Since grass-fed meat is so lean, it is also lower in calories. When it has lower calories, there’s also a lower level of bad cholesterol and that is actually good for our heart.

How to spot a grass-fed beef in the market? Candice Horbacz says to check for labels that say “100 percent grass-fed” to Look for labels that make sure that the cattle where they got that beef has been given only his mother’s milk and grass.
